Energy in Motion: The E-motion of “Digestion”

Chlorophyll. It is the blood of plants.

When you consume it, it becomes the blood of You:

When you glance at the image above, it should be plainly obvious that eating plants is extremely important to the human body, right? Even if you have never paused to consider the role of the circulatory system.

I originally sought this image because this past spring I was explaining photosynthesis to my 5 year old:

"Plants take energy from the sun's light and use it to make chlorophyll"
"What is chlorophyll???" she inquired.
"ummmmmm... I'm... not actually sure. Let's look it up when we get home!!!"

I'm so glad I did look it up, because, despite considering myself to be reasonably intelligent, I have only vague recollections of learning these processes in elementary school. (I also do not remember any time being offered vegetables by those in charge of the public school education. We were given lot's of free sugar though.)
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have been focused on consuming a plant based diet and
practicing installing a green juice habit for the last decade, because of the degradation I was watching people inflict on thier bodies when I worked in fast food restaurants.

I really recommend delving deep into the effects of sugar on the body, especially for folks who are constantly trying to spark change in thier lives to no effect. A poor eating habit is like a traffic jam in your circulatory system. At first it feels like a few happy lazy days with so many cookies and television, yay! but eventually there are automobiles piling up inside of you, honking thier horns and infuriatingly causing fender benders. This manifests as You, feeling chronically stuck in dead end jobs, lacking fulfilling friendships & family dynamics, or literally experiencing diabetic shock.

This probably sounds so extreme, if you are accustomed to a highly processed Standard American Diet (S.A.D.)

If you are interested in the gut-brain intuitive connection there are so many great resources out there to get you started. As always, I'm going to recommend Steve Pavlina, because I have scoured the internet and have yet to find anyone else as committed to personal development, who can articulate thier ideas with such accuracy. Here's one where Steve talks about Raw eating.  While I have yet to achieve his level of commitment and discipline, I can attest that it's instantaneously obvious to me when I am putting low grade fuel in by body.

A few days ago I was trying to do some errands in town and I was literally crippled over with pain while my intestines dealt with everything I had thrown in them, somewhat haphazardly, as I grasped to regain my "normal" life back. I think life is ironic, because I was struggling to move across a rainy parking lot with my daughter wondering "What is this all about? What emotion could this possibly be a manifestation of???" I looked down at the ground and saw a card. "The Moonglove" from Magic the Gathering. I have no idea what it means, I have never played Magic the Gathering, but I picked it up and pondered us all being so interconnected, and that anytime we hurt another we hurt our selves in the exact same way. That's really been the theme of my last month, and will probably remain the theme of my next foreseeable while. It seems like a huge opportunity for my own personal growth, and a meditation that will really improve the relationship dynamics with everyone I interact with.

This, to me, is the essence of "the game layer on top of the world". It starts off as a mindvirus, and then progressively evolves.

You are the designer of your own life game. Write it well.
