The Map Of Conciousness: Part 1

While I was working on the Pirates Of Personal Development, I decided it was really important to distinguish between "growth" and "development". Growth is just a sizable mass expanding with no purpose. whereas Development suggests to me, Wild active cultures, prokaryotic & eucaryotic, microcosmic and macro-cosmic, uniting to form an ever more cohesive whole. Why strive for this? I suppose because it seems like the only alternative to degradation. (cuz degradation feels like... well. I'm sure you've experienced it before.)

So anyhow this awesome fellow helped me draw the Map, and much of it is very familiar, you've already seen it I'm sure. He starts off by saying, as I just mentioned, that our culture does not have a Framework for growth or even a substantive word to describe it (thus people are lost, doomed to make cartoons that while [relatively humorous], serve as a floundering guide to the human experience)

We hold the same inner attitudes towards life regardless of social/financial etc factors because we are an externally oriented culture. So he throws down this word "Quale" and if you haven't done the reading yet now would be that time. (just power read it. you already know this stuff intrinsically, no need to overthink it)

probably the gut link is written smack in the middle there because I interrupted to shout really excitedly about cardiac coherence.

got the the nesting theory of consciousness, on there if you feel like getting all orgasmy over charts and graphs,

So here at the bottom of Page 1, we feel ourselves shifting into a new sector of experience because one changes the relationship to pain and suffering when one moves into peace with the emotional feedback.
(the thing that prevents laughter is one's desire to remain in control.
laughter is surrendering to being out of control)
